ASSISTANT MANAGER QUALITY

Job Description

  • Continuous quality improvement of Dmart Private Label products & oversee the operational processes adherence
  • To ensure that the products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards
  • Responsible for designing and maintaining products specifications
  • Responsible for monitoring, inspecting and proposing measures to correct or improve products & process to meet established quality standards
  • Organize & manage testing of all Private Label products
  • Liasoning with product development & packaging teams for overall quality support for existing as well as new product developments
  • Conducting QA audits at vendor facilities to ensure all necessary adherences
  • Handling consumer complaints

Candidate profile
  • Through understanding of QA/QC concepts
  • Good knowledge of developing & maintaining technical documentation & records relating to process workflows
  • Exposure to regulatory aspects related to standards & declarations (FSSAI, BIS, Drug & Cosmetic act, Legal Metrology, FDA and other regulations)
  • Should have good knowledge of HACCP and GFSI programs/audit schemes
Interfaces
This person will work closely with multiple teams across the board:
– Internal – product development, packaging development, legal, supply chain
– External – vendors/3P partners, product testing labs, vendor audit agencies
Qualifying Skills
  • Bachelors Degree with 5-6 years of experience or Master’s degree with 2-3 years of experience

or
BE, B. Tech in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Food Technology / Food Science / Cosmetic with 5-6 years of experience
– Preferred sector – FMCG / Retail / QSR (Food or Non-food)

  • Candidates with additional Quality related certifications, trainings, etc. will have an added advantage
  • Should be fine with regular travel
Reporting Structure
This position will reporting into the DGM – Quality
