Full Job Description

At Upakarna the photographer is responsible for creating visually appealing images of jewelry products to showcase the brand’s collections. This individual is responsible for capturing high-quality images that showcase the fine details, texture, and overall aesthetic of each piece. The photographer will work closely with the marketing team to ensure that images align with the brand’s visual identity and marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Photograph jewelry products in-studio or on-location
  • Use a range of photographic techniques to create visually appealing images, including lighting, composition, and post-production editing
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand the brand’s visual identity and marketing goals
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts for photoshoots and execute them
  • Ensure all products are captured accurately and consistently, including color accuracy and texture
  • Manage and maintain all photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment
  • Meet all project deadlines and work efficiently to produce high-quality images
  • Continuously improve and refine photography skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in photography technology
  • May hire and oversee the work of additional photographers or assistants, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, fine arts, or a related field
  • Proven experience of at least 2-3 years as a photographer, with a portfolio that showcases product photography and post-production editing skills
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of photography equipment, lighting techniques, and post-production software
  • Strong understanding of composition and the ability to create visually appealing images
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from others
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
  • Experience working in the jewelry industry is preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹10,000.00 – ₹15,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
